OILRIG ESCAPE

As soon as the experience starts, a video character rises up on an elevator to address the new "visitor" and to warn them to check the instructions on how to find the escape routes in the event of an accident. Following soon afterwards, a second video character appears, warning that a build up of gas could cause an explosion and that the rig needs to be cleared. What follows is a tour through the labyrinth insides of the offshore platform as the user tries to escape from the danger to find the rescue helicopter.

Throughout the tour, the user is surrounded by 3D sounds of the different machinery, the background alarm siren and occasional shouted instructions from video guides who appear at crucial moments to help the escapee. Having escaped the realistic flames and smoke swirling around the rooms in the oilrig, the user eventually arrives outside and ascends an elevator to get into a beautifully modeled escape helicopter.
